Job Title: Regional Sales Lead

Location: St. Michael, Barbados

Job Details: Hybrid – Permanent

Our Distribution Excellence team is seeking a Regional Sales Lead to join our team in Barbados. In this position you will lead an efficient and profitable sales department through achieving established business objectives.

What you’ll do
  • Oversee domestic and international shipments for motorcycles, boats, marine engines, and spare parts, ensuring efficient movement of goods from origin to destination.
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring orders are processed, shipped, and delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Proactively monitor shipment status, identify potential delivery delays, and implement real-time solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations by coordinating the accurate and timely preparation and submission of all required documentation.
  • Develop, track, and report logistics and supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the Head of Logistics and Supply Chain.
  • Analyze logistics bottlenecks, transportation delays, and operational inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization across logistics and supply chain activities.
  • Evaluate and recommend new transportation routes, carriers, suppliers, and shipping methods to enhance efficiency and service levels.
  • Supervise and approve all Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) transactions, activities, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain FTZ records and reporting requirements, ensuring full compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and FTZ Board requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of FTZ operations, inventory controls, and trade compliance processes to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Provide guidance on import and export regulations, ensuring compliance with applicable trade laws and company policies.
  • Monitor freight rate factors and transportation costs, ensuring accurate cost allocation and alignment with budget expectations.
  • Prepare and oversee logistics reports, including supplier performance evaluations, freight cost analysis, and carrier negotiations.
  • Ensure all FTZ documentation, customs filings, compliance reports, and regulatory submissions are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Supervise the Logistics & Trade Compliance Coordinator, providing direction and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customs brokers, carriers, government agencies, and internal departments to support seamless logistics and trade compliance operations.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members on logistics procedures, FTZ requirements, customs regulations, and trade compliance best practices.
  • Perform other reasonable and related duties as required.
About you
  • Qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Bringing a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in logistics, trade compliance, and/or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) regulations, customs compliance requirements, and import/export laws.
  • Experienced in monitoring and reporting key performance indicators, driving process improvements, and conducting cost analysis.
  • Possessing excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and logistics management software, with the ability to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and reporting.
