Job description

Responsible for managing of the branch warehouse and delivery operations, including collaborative working relationships with the sales team, customer service and headquarters, to maximize resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity and economic goals.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Plans, organizes and directs all daily activities of branch warehouse and delivery personnel to ensure standards of performance are maintained.
  • Plots driver routes daily.
  • Interface daily with branch management and external customers
  • Review and analyze ongoing branch personnel performance results and take corrective measures as needed.
  • Evaluate, develop, improve and implement procedures and practices.
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.
  • Build a team environment to accomplish goals.
  • Ensures branch operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies
  • Keep Operations Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with sales, customer service and headquarters personnel.


Requirements:


  • 5+ years’ operational, logistics and/or distribution experience (minimum 3 years at supervisory or management level)
  • Strong communication skills – open, honest verbal and written communications.
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to process information by phone, fax, PC, mainframe and computer system.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as the business dictates. Will occasionally work over 40 hours in a work week and weekends.
  • Ability to handle stress related to demands of internal and external customers.
  • Mental ability to multi task.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, preferred


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, or related field of study or equivalent years of experience.
