Job description

Spectrum is currently hiring for a Logistics Support candidate that will support the Government Program Office at our customer site in San Antonio, TX at Lackland Air Force Base.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Force Protection Products with contract repairs and tracking of Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPRs) from other services. At the direction of the appropriate Government representatives, prepare necessary paperwork to support GPC purchase requests, contracting actions and shipment/receipt of property and execute actions.
  • Track the shipping locations of equipment managed by the program. Work closely with other departments personnel on the transfer of equipment arriving and departing.
  • Utilize various methods of written and oral communication to inform upper management and customers of programmatic issues as it deals with repair and return of assets. Communicates via telephone and email with vendors and customers to provide the most current and accurate status. Follow up via phone call with customers on new and existing requirements.
  • Plan and schedule equipment to be sent in for repair. Coordinate with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for repair and return of equipment in a timely manner from OEM back to CCSD.
  • Support all facets of repair process to include providing required data to product areas, maintenance production support, financial and contracting functional personnel. Compile data and reports for program office, attend and facilitate meetings as necessary to provide status updates. Must be able to prioritize work and act accordingly under changes in priorities and schedules.
  • Perform the duties as Item Manager in his/her absence or if help is needed. Participate in the preparation of estimated requirements and associated justification for budgets and execution plans as required.
  • Ensure requirements remain up to date. Participate in the development of obligation plans. Monitor utilization of resources in day-to-day operations. Review and/or prepare AF Form 9 or AF Form 36 (Purchase Requests) and DD 448 (MIPRs), ensuring accuracy of lines of accounting and available funding. Ensure required reconciliations are accomplished in all financial systems, i.e., BQ, CCaRs & DEAMS.
  • Monitor contracts and delivery orders to ensure proper posting of charges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on financial matters pertaining to Force Protection Products program funding. Monitor Open Document Listings (ODLs). Identify resource imbalances (shortages and overages) and recommend appropriate action to the Program Manager. Research and prepare responses to all funding suspense (ODL, Tri Annual Review (TAR), Dormant Obligations, Dormant MORD Review, etc.). Assists the Budget Office during fiscal year-end closeout.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as Inventory Manager
  • Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Expertise in requirements computations and use of the Air Force supply systems, e.g., D035, DO43, CDAS, CMCS, Cryptologic Logistics automated Support System (CLASS) and PIDS are required
  • Familiarity with stock listing, disposals, re-procurements, configuration, management, technical drawing reviews, validation/verification and technical orders including modification/changes
  • Forklift experience desired
