Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistic Service Supervisor will assist in the daily operation of the Logistics Services and Warehouse Operations department to include the use of technology systems, protocols associated with the delivery of interoffice mail, instructional materials, furniture and equipment, and test materials, utilizing the operation of commercial trucks, to meet the needs of schools and staff. The incumbent is responsible for inspecting warehouse buildings, equipment, fleet vehicles, and the receipt and removal of district furniture and equipment. The supervisor coordinates the Surplus Inventory Program related to the reuse and auction/sale of district obsolete and damaged inventory.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required



Certifications/Licenses:
Valid driver's license
Forklift license
OSHA Certification required




Experience:
5 years experience working in a warehouse
2 years supervisory experience in warehouse 0peration
5 years driving large trucks and forklifts
Experience in K12 education or public sector preferred





ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and trains warehouse staff to ensure efficient, safe, and effective warehouse operations
Manages the District's Surplus Inventory Program, including the identification, redistribution, auction, sale, or disposal of furniture and equipment in accordance with District accountability procedures
Schedules, coordinates, and supervises daily delivery and pickup routes for District schools and departments
Processes and fulfills warehouse orders for schools and District departments
Prepares delivery schedules, loads materials, and operates commercial cargo vehicles to transport goods as needed
Receives, inspects, and verifies centralized shipments for accurate distribution to schools and departments
Oversees warehouse fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation, preventive maintenance, and compliance with District and regulatory requirements
Monitors warehouse inventory and storage capacity using inventory management systems and technology tools
Operates warehouse equipment to receive, store, move, and distribute materials and equipment efficiently
Required to have prompt, regular attendance in person and be available to work on-site during regular business hours and as needed
Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator or their representative
