Job description

Summary:
The Logistics Officer is responsible for ordering, tracking, and maintaining equipment and supplies outfitted to Central vehicles. Additionally, the Logistics Officer is responsible for managing a state of readiness for all Central ambulances and company vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Vehicle and station check/control of supplies and equipment
โ€ข Manage ordering, receiving, and distribution of supplies/equipment through the Coupa supply platform.
โ€ข Track company assets through the Asset Tiger asset tracking system
โ€ข Act as state DPH liaison for state inspections
โ€ข Develop and roll out field employee training for equipment or pharmaceuticals.
โ€ข Pharmaceuticals and narcotics management
โ€ข Responsible for management of daily ambulance readiness
โ€ข Ensure the supply workspace is clean and organized.
โ€ข Requisition supplies for replacement
โ€ข Inform Director of breakdowns, equipment failure, relocation of equipment for tracking
โ€ข Document and report on the condition of equipment and ambulance to Central Command staff or fleet maintenance.
โ€ข Ensures unit and crew members adhere to Central EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards. Reports any deficiencies to the shift supervisor.
โ€ข Ensures vehicle complies with required laws, rules license, and regulations as outlined by the Department of Public Health and other authorized agencies.
โ€ข Prompt and regular attendance at work and mandatory meetings.
โ€ข Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism, while on-duty.
โ€ข Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while in company uniform either on or off duty.
โ€ข Self-motivated and requires little supervision and direction.
โ€ข Ability to respond to ALS calls when needed.
โ€ข Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
  • Background, MVR & Drug screen required (provided upon offer)
  • State of Georgia EMT or Paramedic certification Preferred
  • Logistics and/or Budget supply chain experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Required to use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach, push, pull.
โ€ข Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance. Occasionally will sit/ drive for periods of 2 hours or more.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 80 pounds or more with assistance.
