Daher's Charleston, South Carolina site supports onsite aerospace logistics operations for a major aircraft manufacturing customer, playing a critical role in production support and supply chain execution. The team manages key activities including parts kitting, tooling and inventory management, and lineside material support, directly enabling aircraft final assembly operations. As part of Daher's growing North American Logistics Division, the site delivers precisiondriven, safetycritical logistics services in a fastpaced manufacturing environment, working closely with customer stakeholders to ensure material availability, quality compliance, and strict FODprevention standards.

Your Mission:

As a Logistics Engineering Project Manager, you will lead strategic logistics projects-from design through execution-to optimize material flows and drive operational excellence. You'll serve as a vital link between our international network, customers, and internal operations, ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency, and innovation. Whether launching new logistics activities or refining existing ones, your work will have a direct impact on how we serve our clients and grow our business.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

Project Management & Deployment

  • Design logistics flows and determine the means required for efficient execution.
  • Lead the methods portion of new project deployments, including activity transfers and process optimization.
  • Support the rollout of new or modified logistics operations across Daher locations.
  • Create and maintain clear work instructions, procedures, and documentation.
  • Manage project timelines, proactively engage and challenge stakeholders, and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate and deliver regular project progress communications to internal leadership and customer counterparts.
  • Promote a mindset of innovation by engaging with emerging technologies-including automation and AI-in line with company policy.
  • Design endtoend logistics solutions for new business, including warehouse layout, material flow, kitting, transportation, and network design.
  • Develop detailed process maps, capacity models, labor estimates, and equipment requirements.
  • Build ROI analyses, cost models, and competitive pricing packages for customer proposals.
  • Prepare clear and compelling solution documentation for RFI/RFP responses and customer presentations.
  • Ensure the solutions developed are fully aligned with company policies, customer expectations, and established best practices within the industry.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze logistics performance and identify areas for improvement in quality, speed, and cost.
  • Conduct operational audits and logistics studies to inform smarter decision-making.
  • Contribute to logistics investment plans and ROI analysis for new initiatives.
  • Implement Daher's SeeD methodology to foster a culture of structured improvement.

Collaboration & Culture

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with operations teams and customers.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and project teams across North America and Europe to share best practices, benchmarks, and lessons learned.
  • Actively participate in internal and customer meetings, project reviews, and planning sessions.
  • Be a culture carrier-demonstrate our core values through everyday leadership, teamwork, and communication.

What you need to have

  • Bachelor's degree required; Industrial or Engineering discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics material flow, warehouse layout, or operational logistics.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Clear, concise communicator with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed to support global initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in 3PL or in-house logistics within industrial or retail environments.
  • Background in warehouse design, layout, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD (2D) and macro tools for process visualization and automation.

Information related to the position:

  • The compensation range is $110,000 to $120,000 in base salary plus an annual target bonus.
  • The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Daher considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, skills, and current market conditions.
