Job Purpose

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing site logistics operations, including the receipt, storage, inventory management, and internal distribution of materials. The role ensure the efficient and compliant handling of raw materials, packaging materials, indirect materials, and services while supporting operational continuity, cost optimization, and compliance with corporate, safety, and regulatory requirements.


Must be able to understand and comply with HSE standards, AkzoNobel Life Saving Rules, waste management system, distribution and road safety requirements, incident reporting, product SDS and proper PPE related HMIS system. Must actively participate in safety programs and be able to perform daily checklists and 5S participation.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations Management
   Coordinate all logistics activities including the physical and fiscal receipt of raw materials, packaging materials, indirect materials, and services required for site operation
   Ensure proper documentation and system transactions related to goods receipt, storage and internal movement of materials.
   Oversee activities related to the company's billing interface with logistics operations when applicable.
   Ensure compliance with corporate logistics procedures, policies, and operational guidelines

Inventory Management
   Monitor inventory levels and warehouse operations to ensure accuracy and availability of materials for production and operational needs.
   Coordinate and conduct periodic inventory counts in collaboration with Finance/Controlling function.
   Investigate inventory discrepancies and implicant corrective actions to resolve deviations and prevent recurrence.

Cost Optimization and Continuous Improvement
   Execute logistics operations with a focus on identifying opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and operational optimization.
   Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics processes, warehouse layout, and material flow
Supplier and Contractor Management
   Identify, develop, and manage suppliers necessary to support logistics-related projects and services.
   Ensure suppliers meet company quality, safety, and operational standards.
   Manage third-party logistics contractors and service providers supporting warehouse operations.
   Conduct periodic performance evaluations of contractors and ensure compliance with contractual and company requirements.

Maintenance and Equipment Management
   Ensure logistics equipment, tools, and instruments are available, maintained, and suitable for operational use.
   Support the development and execution of the annual preventative maintenance plan for logistics equipment and infrastructure.
   Coordinate and prepare service budgets required to support maintenance activities within the logistics area.

Compliance and Safety
   Ensure compliance with corporate policies, site procedures, and regulatory requirements applicable to logistics operations.
   Support and disseminate Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements relevant to the logistics and material handling chain.
   Promote and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to the HSE&S standards and safe material handling practices.
   Ensuring that direct reports have the required HSE&S competencies as defined in the competency matrix prior to assigning them any routine or non-routine task.
   Only engaging in routine or non-routine HSE&S critical tasks after training an proper process confirmation of such competency.

Job Requirements

Skills necessary for this position include:
   High school diploma or quivalent required.  Bachelor's degree preferred
   3 years' experience minimum
   Lead and enforce safety working behavior and practices
   Teamwork support necessary to support the common goals of peers and work group
   Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and SAP programs
   Flexible - adjusting to changing priorities
   Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
   Strong organizational skills
   Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
   Knowledge of Forecasting, Logistics, and Purchasing basic preferred
   Ability to follow directions and provide reliable results and observations
   High sense of responsibility when making decisions
   Ability to keep accurate, legible records
   Self-motivated with high standards for performance
   Must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to the changing needs of the Company
   Personable - able to work with a wide variety of people with a positive attitude

Compensation & Benefit

Base salary range for this role is: $75,000 to $85,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
