Job Description

Sumaria Systems is searching for a talented Senior Logistics Manager to provide support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/ISR SOF (AFLCMC/HB).

The Air Force Program Executive Office for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Special Operations (PEO ISR SOF) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the ISR SOF portfolio, which includes over 200 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PEO ISR SOF is headquartered at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS.

This position supports the AWACS (E3), Wedgetail (E7), and the International Airborne Battle Management Command and Control (FMS) Division; AFLCMC/WIW. The WIW Division is located at Tinker AFB, OK, and Hanscom AFB, MA, with dispersed support at Eglin AFB, FL, Seattle, WA, San Antonio, TX, and several OCONUS locations.

This is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. This position will specifically support the E7 program office, focusing on the acquisition documentation required for a new major acquisition program entering the major milestone decision process.


Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Determine and correlate requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services with program plans
  • Work with support managers to maintain comprehensive support plans, including coordination with sister and coalition services
  • Participate in the development of maintenance and life cycle logistics plans supporting product transitions and sustainment activities
  • Identify and address sustainment problem areas while managing schedules and priorities to meet program requirements
  • Provide analytical support for logistics metrics, acquisition planning, sustainment strategies, and milestone reviews
  • Develop briefings, management documentation, logistics studies, and acquisition documentation supporting all phases of the program lifecycle
  • Provide logistics inputs to Request for Proposals (RFPs), including system specifications, Statements of Work (SOWs), System Requirements Documents (SRDs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Market Research, ESIS, and Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP) documentation
  • Develop Business Case Analyses, Trade Studies, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) documentation, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and other acquisition studies and analyses as required
  • Develop logistics planning documentation including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs), Product Support Business Case Analyses, Depot Source of Repair (DSOR)/Source of Repair Assignment (SORA) packages, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources plans
  • Conduct research and identification of alternative components as required
  • Utilize supply chain tools, dashboards, and data analysis to maintain asset visibility and support acquisition and sustainment activities

Required Skills/Education:

Bachelor's Degree 3-5+ years of experience in respective technical/professional discipline, three of which must be in the DoD

Technical
  • Significant acquisition logistics experience supporting DoD acquisition programs
  • Experience supporting aircraft programs, preferably AWACS (E3) and/or Wedgetail (E7) platforms
  • Experience with subcontract management in support of acquisition and sustainment activities
  • Experience with CDRL management and Technical Order Management processes
  • Experience developing and maintaining logistics planning documentation and sustainment strategies
  • Experience supporting acquisition logistics activities throughout the program lifecycle
  • Experience participating in acquisition program office functions supporting Major Acquisition Programs of Record (MDAP)
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, including an understanding of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force
