The Onsite Logistics Lead role within our logistics department, in Beaver Dam, WI, is responsible for developing, coordinating/managing the Logistics Process, managing the Onsite Logistics team, and coordinating the site logistics within the electrical construction industry. All job sites participate in daily safety initiatives such as safety stand-down and daily operational risk management meetings to proactively identify safe practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education - HS Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of experience. ASCM Warehouse Certificate, CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) , CLTD (Certified Logistics, Transportation and Distribution), and Rigging and HAZWOPER preferred.

Experience - 5+ years of material management experience/logistics experience, Prior people leadership experience required. LEAN/Continuous Improvement experience preferred.

Travel: Up to 100%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday.May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limitedto:nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may berequired.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading an operational group for a project supporting up to 200 Electricians and managing a logistics team made up of internal and 3rd party of 1-15 team members.
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities out to OLS and OMH on a daily basis, ensuring roles and responsibilities are met.
  • Ability to manage the entire ordering process for logistics on a project. (Equipment, Tooling, Material, VMI, etc.)
  • Focusing on efficiency and accurate delivery to designated locations onsite.
  • Focuses on building productivity on a jobsite through efficient material, tool, and equipment management.
  • Also does this by focusing on Continuous Process Improvements, never settling for average, always striving to be better and more efficient.
  • Competent safety background with the ability to help Onsite Safety audit and find solutions to material handling and equipment operation issues/strategies.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of Logistics Processes and Lean Techniques
  • Ability to collectively work with Internal and External customers at a high level, being able to present on behalf of logistics to project teams, vendors, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate areas of concern/opportunity to PM team.
  • Overall knowledge of the other positions within logistics, to assist team members in growth.
  • Ability to accurately complete and organize basic paperwork on the jobsite and to do so in a timely manner.
  • Understanding and supporting re-mobilization on a project site.
  • Order and track materials, perform cost projections.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
