Job Description/Responsibilities
The Compliance Manager plays a critical, enterprise-wide role in shaping and advancing Sazerac's global compliance strategy. This leader will drive a proactive, risk-based compliance culture-ensuring alignment with domestic and international regulations while enabling continued business growth.
This role partners closely with executive leadership, legal, and operational teams to design scalable compliance frameworks, strengthen internal controls, and embed best-in-class governance practices across all business units and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of global compliance frameworks, policies, and internal audit programs
  • Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks across U.S. and international markets
  • Design and implement dashboards, risk heat maps, and KPIs to provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Drive automation and digitization of compliance workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Partner cross-functionally (Finance, HR, Production, Logistics, Legal) to ensure regulatory alignment
  • Develop and execute an annual audit plan, including reporting and remediation strategies
  • Deliver enterprise-wide compliance training and foster a culture of accountability and ethical conduct
  • Continuously evaluate and improve policies, procedures, and systems to enhance compliance effectiveness and cost efficiency

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, or regulatory environments (e.g., TTB, Customs, IRS)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional compliance programs in highly regulated industries
  • Strong expertise in governance, risk management, and internal audit frameworks
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred
  • Experience in alcohol beverage, CPG, or similarly regulated industries
  • Advanced degree (JD, CPA, CIA, or related field)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCEP, CAMS, CRCM)
  • Experience with GRC platforms, audit tools, and data visualization
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
