Job description

CDL Class A Delivery Driver

Location: Lake Charles, LA

Pay Rate: $28.85/hour Plus Competitive Performance Bonus

Delivery Schedule: Full-time, local delivery routes 4 days per week 10–12-hour shifts 4:00 am Start Time

Job Description

We are seeking CDL Class A Drivers to service established commercial accounts within a defined local territory. Drivers are responsible for operating a delivery vehicle, servicing accounts, and executing in-store merchandising standards.

  • Operate a CDL Class A vehicle on an assigned local delivery route
  • Deliver product to a variety of commercial customer locations, including foodservice accounts
  • Unload product using pallet jacks and hand trucks and place in designated areas
  • Merchandise product by stocking shelves, rotating inventory, and maintaining display standards
  • Set up promotional materials such as pricing signage and displays as needed
  • Verify delivery documentation, generate invoices, and complete daily settlement of deliveries
  • Maintain professional working relationships with store management and receiving personnel
  • Complete all scheduled stops and service requirements within assigned shift
Job Requirements
  • Must be 23 years of age or older
  • Must have Class A CDL
  • Must have DOT Medical Card
  • Minimum of 2-year driving experience
  • Ability to lift and carry 20-45 lbs repeatedly during shift
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks, lift gates, and hand trucks
  • Ability to read, complete, and maintain required delivery and DOT documentation
  • Strong customer service and communicating skills
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment Drug and background screening and motor vehicle history review in accordance with company and DOT standards
