Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

We areseekingapassionateand capable Logistics Associate to join our Supply Chain team. As a member of the Supply Chain group, you will be cross-functionally integral with many departments, such as Process Sciences, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and the Quality Control Laboratories, to ensure that all the shipping needs of the business are met.

The Logistics Associate will be primarily tasked with the management of all outgoing shipments to support both GxP as well as non-GxP Laboratory functionality. Shipments of Drug Substance, Drug Product, Sterile Diluent, and other GxP samples as well as Vendor Material Returns, and Laboratory Samples will be under their purview.

The successful candidate will partner closely with stakeholders to anticipate needs, resolve issues quickly, and deliver consistent, high-quality service-based experience. The role will also be required to follow SOPs for all GxP governed shipments. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and works collaboratively to ensure our partners receive timely and effective support.

Additional activities may include supporting warehouse general receipt and materials handling such as picking, putaway, counting, and other operations as required. Feedback on and iterative improvements for Umoja warehouse/shipping processes. Ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be highly organized, and detail oriented.

Prior experience with a GMP environment, experience with DOT and IATA shipping regulations, and Cold Chain Shipping highly preferred.

This role will support supply chain activities, reporting to the Associate Director, Supply Chain onsite 5 days/week in Louisville, CO.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Specific responsibilities include:  

  • Correct and timely shipment of GMP and non-GMP materials from The CLIMB Warehouse in Louisville, CO to destinations across the globe.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse in support of manufacturing activity
  • Coordinate and oversee GMP and Non-GMP material packing and shipping operations.
  • Support the External Quality and Purchasing Groups when coordinating and tracking outgoing shipments
  • Perform activities according to and in compliance with Umoja SOPs and Quality Systems
  • Maintain current certifications for DOT/IATA shipping requirements
  • Safely operate machinery such as forklifts and order pickers
  • Collaborate with other departments like Process Sciences, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control Laboratories to ensure all shipping needs are met
  • Demonstrate proactive, service-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross functional partners.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and solutions to ensure operational excellence, continuous improvement, and timely communications
  • Assist in creating dashboards and visual management systems as needed to ensure successful operations

The successful candidate will have:

  • A GED or equivalent degree with at least 4-6 years of experience in a Supply Chain/Warehouse/Inventory Role
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience operating in a cGMP environment
  • DOT/IATA experience
  • Cold Chain Shipping experience
  • Experience with NetSuite or other Inventory management/ERP software

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to work onsite 5 days/week at our Louisville, CO site.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on occasion
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Exposure to warehousing and manufacturing areas at +5C including storage freezer at -20C
  • Adherence to wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as but not limited to safety vest, eye protection (when required), cold/cut proof gloves (when required), steel-toed shoes, manufacturing gowning, line harness, and fall protection.

Hourly Range: $30.53 - $37.71 This role is non-exempt and is overtime eligible.
