Wieland is hiring an International Logistics Coordinator. The International Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the global movement of raw materials, metal products, and industrial equipment, while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

This role supports import and export logistics operations by managing shipment documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and assisting with basic trade compliance activities related to tarrifs, classifications, and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in supporting efficient supply chain operations for all direct, indirect, and Capex import/export activities. This role is located in Louisville, KY and will be fully on-site. Responsibilities International Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities: * Coordinate international shipments of metal products, raw materials, and industrial equipment via ocean, air, and ground transportation. * Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely shipment execution and customs clearance. * Review shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin. * Manage the tracking of shipments with our carriers from origin to destination and communicate shipment status updates to internal stakeholders. * Assist in managing the review of product descriptions and tariff classifications (HTS codes) to ensure accurate customs documentation with our internal stakeholder and our Trade Compliance partner. * Support basic trade compliance activities and recordkeeping. * Assist with managing import entries and resolving customs clearance issues with brokers when needed. * Review freight invoices and assist with transportation cost tracking and reporting. * Coordinate with internal departments including purchasing, production planning, warehouse operations, and finance to ensure accurate shipment information. * Maintain organized shipment files and ensure documentation compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. * Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics efficiency, cost control, and supply chain optimization. International Logistics Coordinator Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field preferred * Experience in logistics, supply chain, and international transportation * Basic understanding of international trade processes and shipping documentation * Familiarity with import/export procedures, and customs documentation is a plus * Proficient in using shipping software and systems to track shipments, generate reports, and maintain accurate records * Strong organizational and communication skills * Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment * Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment * 2 to 4 years' experience in logistics management.
