The International Logistics Manager oversees global shipping operations, ensures compliance with trade regulations, manages carrier performance, and drives costโ€‘efficient international freight movement.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize the international supply chain to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure timely ocean freight delivery.
  • Select and negotiate with carriers and freight forwarders on scope, service, pricing, and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export laws and regulations (FSVP, FDA, USDA, FSMA).
  • Monitor tariffs, duties, sanctions, and trade agreements to reduce landed cost exposure.
  • Maintain relationships with logistics providers and hold them accountable for performance.
  • Customs Compliance
  • Develop and enforce KPIs for ocean carriers and apply penalties when goals are missed.
  • Compare internal freight rates to market indexes to ensure belowโ€‘market costs.
  • Identify opportunities for technology, process, and relationship improvements.
  • Build shortโ€‘ and longโ€‘term logistics plans that support company growth.
  • Analyze monthly metrics such as cost per container and savings per load.
  • Review savings changes by port pairing, forwarder, or dray carrier.


Qualifications:
