Job Title: Logistics Planning Analyst
Duration: 12 Months
Location:  Morton IL 61550
Summary:
Plan, direct, or coordinate activities.
Skills and Competencies:
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
This analyst will collect data, validate packaging and populate the Manufacturing Enterprise Packaging System (MEPS).
MEPS Data Entry Analyst
The role of this position is that of a packaging data entry analyst.
The job requires the ability to efficiently interpret and enter large amounts of data into the MEPS.
Thus, the job involves a tremendous amount of data entry. Position will require individual to physically collect data as well (measuring parts), thus could involve long hours in the warehouse on foot.
Typical Day
Analyst will be expected to work a standard 1st shift schedule (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM).
Analyst's daily work will be dictated by the inbound part activity associated with new clients to the Node operation.
When necessary the analyst will have to collect part data and work with the Packaging Engineer to determine appropriate packaging.


Qualifications

Technical Skills Required            
2 year degree
Two years relevant experience with logistics or supply chain.
Systems/database management experience (internship experience included).
General typing proficiency is a must (minimum of 30 words/minute).
Analyst must also have experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office in general.
Will be using VLOOKUP's/pivot tables/utilizing formulas in Excel.
Analyst must have experience creating PowerPoint presentations.

Education/Experience:
Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Two years relevant experience with logistics or supply chain.
