Job description

We are seeking an Accounting & Logistics Specialist to become an integral part of our team supporting the accounting and logistics departments. 

Responsibilities:

  • Input financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and receipts, into the appropriate systems
  • Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Prepare and process invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Filing documents, maintaining organized financial records, and assisting with audits
  • Perform other office tasks
  • Analyze and approve for payment warehouse and broker invoices for reconciliation to company inventory
  • Process and approve shipping documents from origin ensuring all relevant requirements are met
  • Follow up on delivery orders to destination terminals to ensure containers are picked up in a time


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in billing, administration or logistics
  • Experience in data entry
  • Basic knowledge of standard accounting procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to manage and organize a large volume of information
  • Analytical, detail oriented with strong computer and math skills required
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • 4-year degree or 2-year accounting degree and post college work experience with similar skills preferred, but not required
  • Spanish, or Portuguese language would be considered a plus
  • Work conducted in person at White Plains office
