The Operations Manager at Shaw/Stewart is charged with managing Yard Operations, including Purchasing and Inventory Control. This integral member of the Shaw/Stewart Senior Leadership team must be well versed in operations, planning and logistics, with a proven track record of continuous process improvements resulting in cost savings. They are responsible for driving Shaw/Stewart culture and values with all members of the team, empowering them to maximize performance and efficiency using Lean principles. Strong verbal and written communication skills will be necessary to lead and hold team members accountable.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Safety - Promoting a Safety Culture
• Lead, Manage and hold department Accountabilities
• Purchasing - Asset Management, product lines, and Vendor relationships
• Inventory Management - Inventory turns, cycle counts, replenishment
• Logistics - Equipment and labor cost controls, truck turn around time
• Facilities - Care and keeping of Company facilities, performance to budget
Requirements

The ideal Operations Manager is a big-picture thinker with strong business acumen and leadership experience managing multiple areas of a company. The successful candidate has a background in lean principles and is ready to serve as the operational process leader.
Minimum Requirements:
• 2 or 4 year degree in Logistics, Distribution, or equivalent experience
• 10 years progressive management experience
• Proven track record of driving process improvements using 5S/Lean principles
• 2+ years P&L responsibility
• Experience with capital expenditures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
