Job description

Job Summary

The Global Service Logistics Planner is a senior-level, strategic role responsible for optimizing global inventory levels for our storage product business. Utilizing data-driven methodologies, you will analyze shipment and consumption data to forecast demand, manage a dedicated spare parts portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle, and ensure optimal part availability across global distribution centers and depots. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction by balancing strict service excellence with operational cost efficiency using our enterprise tech stack.

Job Requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Demand Forecasting & Trend Analysis: Evaluate historical shipment and part-usage data to identify failure trends, forecast demand, and drive global inventory positioning decisions.
  • Inventory Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels of spare parts and accessories, balancing budget constraints, depot capacity, and service level targets (SLAs).
  • Lifecycle Portfolio Ownership: Manage the end-to-end planning lifecycle of a designated parts portfolio, aligning stocking strategies with New Product Introductions (NPI) and End of Life (EOL) phases.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, and Global Logistics teams to synchronize supply chain strategies with product engineering changes and business goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive operational efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and depot performance using industry best practices and advanced data analytics.
  • Systems & Visibility Leverage: Utilize enterprise planning systems and analytics platforms to enhance end-to-end visibility and data-driven decision-making across the service supply chain.

Role Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 8+ years of direct experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or aftermarket service logistics.
  • Enterprise Software Expertise: Proven hands‑on proficiency with SAP and Oracle Fusion ERP platforms.
  • Specialized Planning Systems: Demonstrated experience using Baxter Planning (or equivalent advanced Supply Chain Planning software) for inventory optimization.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong capabilities in data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to analyze complex shipment and usage data.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of service parts logistics, reverse logistics, and inventory modeling (Safety Stock, EOQ, reorder points).

Compensation: The target salary range for this position is 100,300 - 149,600 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. We will provide detailed information about the specific benefits for your region during the recruitment process.
