How you create impact

This role drives global business development for Kuehne+Nagel's Contract Logistics portfolio within the Technology vertical, encompassing the Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial, and HighTech sectors. It leads complex multicountry commercial engagements, develops longterm strategic customer partnerships, and serves as the senior commercial owner for selected global and strategic accounts. The positionensures proactive account management and business retention for key customers, and contributes to product development as well as marketing and communication initiatives.

  • Define and execute global business development strategies for the Technology Vertical within Contract Logistics, aligned with Kuehne+Nagel's overall growth ambitions
  • Lead high value, complex, and multi country sales pursuits for warehousing, distribution, and value added logistics solutions in the area of production/manufacturing logistics, aftermarket and spare parts and finished goods.
  • Drive new business acquisition, provide RFP visibility/pipeline management with a strong focus on solution led, consultative selling
  • Own opportunity qualification, bid strategy, governance, and executive alignment for strategic deals
  • Define and develop the strategy for the Technology Vertical in alignment with the Global Head of Technology Vertical and other KN stakeholders.
  • Active account management for selected number of global accounts where he/she will act as center of gravity and main interface for our customers. Overall account ownership includes identifying opportunities, developing and defining solutions with the KN teams, negotiating, and contract signing for both new projects and renewal of existing business.
  • Be able to build and maintain relationships on various levels throughout the customer organisation (up to C-level)
  • Support countries with know-how and best practice sharing.
  • Continuously review our product offering and compare with the needs of the industry.
What we would like you to bring
  • 15+ years of experience with a strong record of securing and managing largescale, multicountry warehousing and distribution contracts.
  • Proven expertise in global or strategic account management within large, matrixdriven organizations.
  • Deep operational understanding of Contract Logistics, ideally gained through project implementation, operational leadership, engineering, business development, or customer management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of complex manufacturing and aftermarket environments, ideally within the aerospace and defence sectors; essential experience in supply chain/fulfilment, with added value from exposure to battery or cloud logistics.
  • Naturally curious and highly motivated, with a strong passion for technology innovation in warehousing and distribution.
  • Digitally fluent, leveraging advanced applications and AIenabled tools to drive commercial and operational performance.
  • Strategic and customercentric thinker with strong ownership, analytical strength, and the ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous environments.
  • Solid financial acumen, including P&L management and contracting expertise.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage, with the flexibility and willingness to travel globally.
