Under the supervision of the Bakery Manager, the Second Baker applies full knowledge of the baking trade and produces standard baked goods, such as bread, rolls, cakes, cookies, biscuits, muffins. Performs other duties and assignments as required


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the appropriate handling and storage of all food and supplies; always follow regulations regarding the proper techniques for food handling
  • Bake in a timely manner all pastries for the Bakery.
  • Adhere to safety procedures in operating kitchen equipment
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required

Qualifications
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
    • Three (3) years of food service experience and/or working in a U.S. military environment.
  • Skills:
    • Must be able to read, understand, and speak English.
  • Experience:
    • Responsible for the appropriate handling and storage of all food and supplies; always follow regulations regarding the proper techniques for food handling
  • Working Environment:
    • Work is generally conducted in an office or galley environment.
    • May be required to work other than standard work hours to ensure effective customer support.
  • Physical Activities:
    • Work may require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical dangers and chemical or hazardous agents. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published work rules.
