Locum Tenens CRNA – General Anesthesia | Lexington, KY (Level 1 Trauma Center)

Locum Tenens CRNA in Lexington, KY — NBCRNA required, Level 1 Trauma experience, perioperative and NORA anesthesia position at a major medical center. Join a collaborative anesthesia team delivering high-acuity care in Lexington, Kentucky.

  • Assignment Type: Locum tenens (contract) – Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Location: Lexington, KY 40536 — Lexington, Kentucky anesthesia job (Kentucky locum tenens)
  • Start Date: August 17, 2026 (flexible start dates available)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks, with options to extend up to 26 weeks
  • Shifts: 4 x 10-hour days per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 30-minute lunch)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: 7,660 – 8,070 (competitive locum tenens CRNA pay)
Job Requirements
  • Active NBCRNA certification (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)
  • Eligible for Kentucky state licensure (we support licensing candidates)
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in a large medical center or tertiary care setting (no new graduates)
  • Required: Level 1 trauma center anesthesia experience
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Epic EMR experience preferred (Epic experience a plus for medical center workflows)
Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative anesthesia care for a diverse patient population: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics (no neonatal)
  • Perform advanced airway management and procedures including intubation, central and arterial line placement
  • Operate within a medically directed team model, collaborating closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and residents
  • Cover surgical specialties common to a Level 1 Trauma Center: orthopedics, trauma, vascular, neuro (no cardiac, no OB; regional blocks not required)
  • Participate in NORA (Non-Operating Room Anesthesia) cases as needed
  • Deliver high-quality, efficient patient care in a fast-paced academic/tertiary medical center environment
