Locum Physician – OB Hospitalist in Waverly, IA (Flexible Shifts)

Pay & Benefits
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $195.00/hour
  • Pay Package Includes: Weekly pay via direct deposit, licensure (reimbursement when applicable), certification, travel, and other expenses (if applicable)

What You'll Do
  • Provide OB triage and maternity care coverage, including delivery management
  • Handle unassigned gynecological emergencies and postpartum care
  • Collaborate with on-site nursing and hospital teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Participate in the MHAS model involving clinic and call duties
  • Document patient encounters accurately using the EMR system (to be determined)
  • Manage approximately 13+ patient encounters per day, with 1-4 deliveries per shift
  • Support hospital GYN coverage and manage OB emergencies as needed
What You Need Required:
  • Valid medical license in Iowa or eligibility to obtain one
  • Board eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology or Family Medicine
  • Experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or hospitalist roles
  • Ability to manage deliveries and emergency gyn cases
Preferred:
  • Experience working in hospitalist or OB hospitalist settings
  • Familiarity with Level 1 NICU requirements
