This dynamic position involves conducting general genetics evaluations, managing biochemical/metabolic disorders, and performing inpatient consults. Expect a balanced work-life with a routine weekday schedule, supported by a dedicated team including genetic counselors and nurses.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct general genetics evaluations and manage biochemical/metabolic disorder cases.
  • Provide inpatient consultations in various pediatric units such as PICU, NICU, and pediatric wards.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of genetic counselors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize the EPIC EMR system for accurate charting and patient management.
Qualifications
  • Board Certification in Genetics required.
  • Possess MO and IL state licenses or willing to obtain.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) and DEA certification required.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in genetics preferred.
Working Hours
  • Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; on-call details to be determined.
Skills
  • Strong diagnostic skills in genetics and experience with metabolic conditions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including genetic counselors.
  • Proficient in utilizing state-of-the-art hospital technology and EMR systems.
