Job description

We’ve combined a family-friendly culture with a passion to provide the best care, which creates an environment where both patients and team members feel valued. Crouse Health offers a full range of general and specialty care, inpatient and outpatient services, as well as community health education and outreach programs.

Crouse’s Engineering team is hiring a Locksmith.  The Locksmith maintains, installs, repairs and adjusts various types of locks; duplicates keys; maintains doors and hardware. In addition, this role assists with any issues with electronic door swipes. Performs other duties, as assigned.

Pay Range: $21.93 - $40.09 / hour based on experience

Available Schedule(s):

  • Full-time, 7:00am-3:30pm with weekends & holidays

Locksmith Position Responsibilities:
 

  • Repairs, maintains, installs and adjusts various types of locks including combination type locks, tumbler type, mortise locks, etc.
  • Sets locks to the master system; charts and lays out master key system.
  • Duplicates keys; makes pin tumbler and bit type keys from duplicate, key coding and the cylinder itself.
  • Executes ability to open lock and safe where key or combination is not available.
  • Maintains and sets up an expanding key coding and filing system for the hospital on the computer.
  • Installs doors and related hardware such as door closers, coordinators, flush bolts, locking mechanism and exit devices; repairs and maintains said door and hardware.
  • Participates in fire brigade activities.
  • Maintains an orderly and clean environment; cleans up after job is completed.
  • Fills out and turns in time sheets, parts removal slips and work orders according to department policy.

Locksmith Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently licensed as a Locksmith with New York State Department of Education.
