A well-established organization is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Specialist (DIrect Hire) to join its Accounts Receivable team. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate application of customer payments, maintaining account accuracy, and supporting daily cash operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has experience working with high-volume payment processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process high-volume cash receipts, including lockbox, ACH, wire, check, and credit card payments, ensuring accurate same-day application whenever possible.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies by reconciling deposits, reviewing remittance information, and collaborating with customers and internal teams.
  • Handle customer account adjustments, refunds, payment exceptions, and unapplied cash while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support daily banking activities, including check deposits, account reconciliations, and backup assistance for senior cash application functions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of cash application, accounts receivable, or payment processing experience.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; familiarity with P21, Syteline, HighRadius, or Salesforce is a plus.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Power Query.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Preferred Experience
  • High-volume cash posting and payment reconciliation.
  • Bank deposit and account reconciliation processes.
  • Credit card payment processing.
  • Cloud-based cash application automation platforms.
Location: NW Houston - ONSITE (M-F)
Hourly: $24/hr - $29/hr (depending on expereince) + Benefits
Bonus: eligible for descretionary quarterly bonus up to 10%
