Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist I
Location: Accounting Department - Towne Properties, Home Office, Cincinnati, OH.
Pay: $19 - $20 Based on experience and qualifications
Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM to 4:30PM
What You'll do:
  • Review move-in paperwork for accuracy, research errors, and process necessary adjustments and corrections.
  • Monitor and review Public Housing Authority (PHA) rent/payments and Gross Potential Rents (GPR) reports on a monthly basis.
  • Process check scan batches and manually scan payments for Alliance on a daily basis.
  • Assist residents and field personnel with accounts receivable questions and support.
  • Resolve transactions rejected by Alliance lockbox processing.
  • Prepare manual bank deposits for COA/HOA exception transactions and NSF/returned checks.
  • Provide backup support for mail room and front desk operations as needed.

  • At least 1 year of general accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Accounts receivable and collections experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with empathy toward residents and colleagues.
  • Dependable and trustworthy, with proven reliability.
  • Willingness to complete a background and drug screen upon offer.
