Overview
Responsible for sourcing of raw material and components for the production at our plant for Optics products by establishing a reliable, flexible, innovative, high-quality, and productive supply base to create a competitive advantage for us in the market.
Responsibilities
• Develop commodity strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Identify and develop new suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Optimize the supplier base to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Conduct RFQs for NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.
• Negotiate master purchasing contracts, Quality Assurance agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consignment contracts, etc., with suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through comprehensive cost analysis, market data evaluation, and negotiation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to achieve project KPIs, including savings, lead time reduction, minimum order quantity optimization, dual sourcing, and localization.
• Lead quarterly supplier scorecard reviews to improve supplier performance in quality, delivery, and cost.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and underperforming suppliers; implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure continuous improvement.
• Perform tactical work in SAP.
• Collaborate with plant teams daily.

  • Establishing mid-term and long-term strategic commodity plans, developing supplier footprint, and setting up the integrated supply chain to improve sourcing competitiveness.
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to maximize global leverage, identify savings opportunities, and develop cost-competitive suppliers.
  • Managing supplier relationships, ensuring the achievement of supplier commitments, and executing strategies based on market and technology trends.

Qualifications and experience required
• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• 8+ years of experience in sourcing, preferably in the Optics industry
• Proficiency in office software; knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $113,800 - $170,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
