Job description

Job Summary:

Are you a safety and security professional looking for a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a growing organization? Sun Outdoors Ocean City is seeking a Park Ranger / Loss Prevention Agent to help maintain a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for guests, visitors, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol the resort to identify potential security or safety risks and respond appropriately.

  • Maintain order and enforce resort policies and regulations, including monitoring for unsafe behavior or violations.

  • Respond to emergency situations, alarms, accidents, or medical calls and notify first responders as needed.

  • Monitor surveillance systems and report suspicious activity.

  • Conduct investigations into incidents such as theft, fraud, or other security concerns.

  • Ensure buildings, pools, playgrounds, and other resort areas are secure.

  • Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner and assist with questions or concerns.

  • Escort guests to their RV sites and assist with lockouts or minor issues.

  • Stay informed on resort events, promotions, and local activities to assist guests.

  • Locate lost guests or children and coordinate with appropriate personnel.

  • Support the safe operation and monitoring of golf carts and other park vehicles.
  • Work closely with management and first responders to handle emergencies and report safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, investigations, and security-related activities.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED required.

    • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or resort/campground environment preferred.

    • Valid driver’s license.

    • Ability to work outdoors in seasonal conditions and endure physical demands (lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs).

    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

    • Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet use.

    • Strong customer service and communication skills.

    Position Details:

    • Full-time, seasonal position at Sun Outdoors Ocean City in Berlin, MD.
