Seeking a full time Lobby Associate to join our team! Enjoy work life balance? A full time schedule with us is a 4-day work week Monday - Friday!

Position Summary:

Business Office Associate Lobby I is responsible for front office activities including but not limited to greeting visitors, walk-in patients, and scheduled patients upon arrival. Exhumes a professional demeanor as a first impression for patients to represent Afdent positively. Check-in patients and learn the electronic scheduling software. Sanitizes the work area including high touch areas of door knobs and kiosks. Assists patients with checking in for their appointment.

We believe that each patient deserves the best oral health care available in today’s dental industry. Superior clinical dentistry is expected by all patients, which is what we provide. It is the overall customer experience that generally sets a practice apart from others. Provided that the dentistry is what is should be, it is the item most remembered by a patient.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide above and beyond customer service to our patients

Greet visitors, walk-ins, and scheduled patients upon arrival; professionally represent Afdent as the initial first impression for patients.

Direct and inform patients of the check in process

Clearly communicate with the patients and answer questions of patients; escalate concerns or questions to senior staff member or manager

Assist scheduled patients with checking-in on the kiosks. Sanitize kiosks after every use.

Verify patient information needed is entered correctly in the system; notify patient if information is missing while waiting for their appointment

Input walk-in patient information into Open Dental software system; utilize Open Dental and other software systems to enter information accurately

Schedule future appointments as requested with patients

Maintain patient confidentiality and follow OSHA / HIPAA guidelines

Assist with other duties and projects as assigned

Job Specifications:Highschool diploma or equivalent

Medical office, banking, or dental office experience preferred

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen and communicate clearly and effectively

Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Ability to manage time well and adaptive to change

High stress tolerance and thrives in a busy environment

Computer systems experience; Open Dental software preferred

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to meet the physical requirements and demands of position, including but not limited to: extended duration of standing, walking, stooping, bending, and sitting. Works in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. Must be able to adjust physically and emotionally to spontaneous, fast-paced and hectic environment.

The dental office environment may result in employees being exposed to toxic chemicals, radiation, potentially infectious materials and increased noise level.
