LOADER OPERATOR

As a supplier for homeowners and landscaping companies, we work with a wide variety of people with different projects and needs. We help them build something special from the ground up. YOU can make a difference.

We start with pay at an average of $24 per hour based on prior experience and knowledge. We work hard to ensure everyone has full time hours and WE OFFER FULL MEDICAL BENEFITS PACKAGE AVAILABLE AFTER 60 DAYS ON THE JOB. Our loaders also work primarily out of one location, so no long travel to jobsites.

You have to want to be part of a team, make a difference and be available for full time hours in the periods Monday โ€“ Friday 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday 8:45am to 3:00pm (we are only open on Sundays from the first Sunday after Easter until the end of October.

Position Summary:
The Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment (front-end loaders and forklifts) to load customer vehicles, company trucks, and delivery trucks with bulk and palletized landscape materials. The operator maintains equipment, follows all safety protocols, and supports yard operations by keeping materials organized and accessible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS DURING THE BUSY SEASON (APRIL THRU OCTOBER)
  • Operate loaders/forklifts to move and load materials. Expected to be in and out of loader all day helping with any aspect of customer loading and tagging, including hand shoveling or hand loading material.

  • Load customer pickups, trailers, company trucks, semis, and flatbeds safely

  • Inspect and maintain equipment daily; report issues to the mechanic and a manager.

  • Perform minor preventative maintenance (fueling, greasing, fluid checks).

  • Maintain clean and safe loading areas and travel paths.

  • Follow all PPE and yard safety protocols and equipment safety protocols.

  • Communicate with customers and drivers before loading to ensure accuracy.

  • Communicate with office staff via walkie to assist in accurately billing all customers.

  • Use daily and weekly checklists to ensure all duties and tasks are completed.

  • Maintaining a VALID Colorado Driverโ€™s License while employed with Bedrock.

  • Working with customers to help determine needs in a courteous professional manner.

  • Assisting in maintaining equipment in good operating condition and communicating any equipment problems or issues to the manager in a timely manner.

  • Understanding and knowing the inventory of yard stock and relay that info to the team and to customers.

  • Operating company equipment and understand all loading and unloading procedures and load materials with high value placed on customer service, especially communication with customers.

  • Knowing the capacity of company and customer vehicles and advising customers and staff against overloading.

  • Maintaining the appearance of the grounds of the yard, keep it clean and presentable to our customers.

  • Assisting in providing a safe experience for our customers and staff by keeping the yard organized and clean.

  • Completing logs and reports daily.
