The Technical Trainer III is responsible for leading the development, design, and implementation of comprehensive technical content and training materials for both internal and external customers. This role includes delivering on-site and remote client support by providing expert training programs and advising on technical training materials. The Trainer III collaborates with product management, engineers, and program managers to ensure training programs are effective and aligned with company objectives.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct New Employee Orientation (NEO) and onboarding training, including GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and Hangar Orientation Training (HOT) for Engineers.
  • Provide aircraft-specific technical and non-technical training (e.g., RMC Non-Tech NEO Safety Brief).
  • Deliver in-person and remote training sessions; support ongoing on-the-job training, including last-minute requests and schedule changes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires and field a wide range of non-training related requests.
  • Develop and maintain training content for compliance and other departments.
  • Respond to Corrective Action Requests (CARs), ensuring a training component is included as needed.
  • Support all departments, including Safety, HR, and Engineering, with training and operational needs.
  • Facilitate visitor safety briefings and serve as the face of the company to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interface with local educational institutions and stakeholders in various locations.
  • Manage and update qualification records using the LMS (Workday), including reporting requirements.
  • Lead and support culture change initiatives related to training, particularly with veteran and operations staff.
  • Work one-on-one with employees (including veterans) to foster a positive training culture and address concerns.
  • Collaborate in curriculum development and delivery, including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), On-the-Job Training (OJT), Computer-Based Training (CBT), and blended/online formats.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in technical training or a related field.

  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Advanced proficiency with e-learning development tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Experience with supporting/addressing customer training objectives.

  • Must possess strong verbal and technical written communication skills.

  • Must be able to coordinate collaboratively across traditional engineering disciplines.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with clear communication.

  • Ability to work at and support training instruction at both Centennial and Colorado Springs locations
  • Strong familiarity with FAA Part 145 Repair Station DCMAI 8210.1, location specific FOPs and GOPS, and OSHA training requirements
  • Experience in delivering and developing technical and non-technical training programs.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and adapt to dynamic, fast-paced, and service-oriented environments.
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Workday).
  • Ability to create training content and curricula for compliance and cross-departmental needs.
  • Experience in culture change or change management, preferably in environments with military or aviation backgrounds.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to urgent, last-minute requests.
  • Experience working with diverse groups, including veterans and technical staff.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and serve as a resource across all company levels.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
