Job description

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to assist all customers with selection and purchase of merchandise and to maintain a clean, neat, and organized shop.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of six months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet guests within 30 seconds of them entering the shop and make a connection with them.
  • Ask open ended questions to determine their needs.
  • Show them options based on the information gathered that are appropriate to their needs.
  • Build the sale by suggesting complimentary items.
  • Assist golf staff in checking in golfers when needed.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Participate in department training, vendor seminars, and sales contests.
  • Be proficient in the use of the POS system.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures.
  • Participate in basic recovery of the sales floor and adhere to merchandising standards to maintain a clean neat and easy to shop environment.
  • Participate in period end inventories.
  • Cross train in all retail shops. 
  • Participate in Member Appreciation events, Live after 5 events, wine walks, Demo days, etc.
  • Participate in floor fill in strategy by partnering with the merchant leads.
  • Communicate with manager what products need to be filled in from the warehouse.
  • Build rapport with members.
