Summary:
Under minimal supervision produces design drawings/ details and prepares related calculations. Assignments are moderately complex in nature and require good knowledge of all Aluma Systems products. Duties require sound knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply these principals to come up with new approaches and solutions to problems. Review and approve application drawings prepared by others.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve detailed application drawings to ensure compliance with corporate standards as well
    as local regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Under minimal supervision may be required to prepare drawings utilizing Aluma Products.
  • Working independently, prepare complete and accurate engineering calculations for a variety of projects
  • Provide assistance and feed back to detailers on design issues and come up with solutions to complex
    problems.
  • Monitor work schedule to ensure work is completed on time.
  • Provide technical support to sales force and customers.
  • May be required to carry out jobsite inspections for specific projects.
  • Occasionally visits construction project sites.

Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited program, master's degree or equivalent.
  • Has PE/SE license in multiple jurisdictions and comfortable stamping multiple access engineering project.
  • Able to perform and check complex calculations.
  • Ability to create and approve Engineering calculators.
  • Able to review/obtain necessary information for all scaffold design projects.
  • Proficient in utilizing advanced CAD & 3D model skills at drafting intermediate complexity projects using Revit.
  • Advances skills in specific design details.
  • Skilled in nodal and finite element analysis.
  • Full knowledge of regulations and codes.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections of all product lines.
  • Ability to train jr. engineers and other staff members.
