Join us at The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Divisional Controller (Hybrid/Remote). Must live in Portland or SW Washington. Utilize your accounting and financial analytical skills to support operational leaders in a collaborative and dynamic environment. You’ll be focused on providing financial data analytics that will directly impact leaders' decisions as they manage their clinical operations. By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs.

Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:

  • Responsible for the financial aspects of assigned TOC divisions, including financial reporting, budgeting, physician compensation arrangements, and administering physician buy-in/buy-out arrangements.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all external and internal customers.
  • Acts as a financial liaison to divisions, including supporting financial modeling and reporting requests. 
  • Reviews and distributes financial reporting. Monitors financial performance against budget, providing variance analysis on a quarterly basis.
  • Administers physician compensation arrangements, including maintaining a current Physician Compensation Formula policy.
  • Administers physician stock and accounts receivable buy-in/buy-out practices.
  • Works with Directors of Operations to prepare annual budget.
  • Works directly with the CFO to ensure financial projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assists with establishing Finance policies and procedures, and various accounting functions and problem resolution.
  • Teamwork: Shows respect, collaboration, and support for coworkers/supervisor/providers. Communicates effectively and professionally, accepts accountability. Remains flexible to changes and promotes a successful work environment.
  • Safety & Policy Compliance: Adheres to TOC safety and health best practices. Consistently follows relevant laws & TOC policies, including Code of Conduct, Use of Personal Cell Phones, Attendance, IT Systems and Timekeeping policies. Maintains confidentiality, protects sensitive information, and adheres to HIPAA, security, and privacy rules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $166,409.76 - $249,614.64 per year.

Workdays: This role is based at the Central Administration Office. Hybrid/Remote work is available once training is completed and expectations are met. Must live in Portland or SW Washington. Occasional on-site meetings/work in the Portland area and/or the Central Administration Office are required. Typical hours are Monday-Friday (8:00 am-5:00 pm).

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA is strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in accounting.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a finance leadership role required. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred!
  • Epic experience is a plus!
  • Understanding of medical group culture and ability to work effectively with physician owners preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office software. 
  • Knowledge of contracts with hospital systems and administration of contracts.
  • Skilled in budget preparation.
  • Ability to focus on multiple deadlines and meet them. 
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and in lay terms.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, complete work timely and accurately, work ethically and with integrity and display original thinking and creativity.
  • Ability to comply with all applicable safety/OSHA procedures and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
