Job description

Job Description
SAIC is seeking a Platform Engineer for the shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This program will be part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation afloat mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands.
This position is contingent upon award news, expected Summer 2026. This position is hybrid and must live within one hour of Pascagoula, MS.
Job Duties:
  • Perform Platform Engineering SATCOM and data link support for stage 4 and 5 test procedures development and test execution project for shipboard C5ISR systems.
  • Works with the multidisciplinary technical team to ensure successful shipboard industrial test procedures development and testing.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's and two(2) years or more relevant experience with afloat satellite communications and data link systems; additional four (4) years of experience in lieu of degrees.

Required Security Clearance:
  • Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment.

Required Certifications:
  • Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IA Level II - Security+ certification, or CSSIP or equivalent or willing to obtain within 180 days of hire.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • Familiar with C4ISR/C5ISR Interface Control Documents, Block diagrams, electrical wiring diagrams, and Functional Interface Drawings.
  • Experience with maintaining or operationally configuring afloat SATCOM and datalinks.
  • Autocad experience preferred.
