SUMMARY:

The Associate Worship Minister exists to help Storyline proclaim the good news of the gospel by serving alongside the Director of Worship in cultivating gatherings that are theologically serious, aesthetically excellent, and congregationally formative. This role helps lead worship across the life of the church, develops future worship leaders, contributes creatively through songwriting and musical arrangement, and strengthens a culture of worship that forms disciples and serves the mission of Storyline Church.

VISION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sunday Gathering

The Sunday Gathering is one of the primary ways Storyline rehearses the good news of the gospel together. The Associate Worship Minister partners with the Director of Worship to help create worship gatherings where Scripture, song, prayer, and liturgy encourage the church to know Jesus and love all people.

  • Provide leadership, care, and development for the Storyline Worship Choir.
  • Support rehearsals, musical preparation, and worship planning.

  • Disciple developing worship leaders through coaching, encouragement, and ministry opportunities.
  • Invest in volunteers by helping them grow spiritually, musically, and as servant leaders.
  • Support the Worship Residency by mentoring residents and modeling faithful ministry.
  • Help prepare future worship leaders to serve Storyline, church plants, and the broader Church.

Songs for the Church

Storyline desires to write songs that grow out of the life of our church and help our people sing the truths of the gospel. The Associate Worship Minister contributes creatively by helping develop music that serves the local church and future generations.

  • Write and develop original songs rooted in Scripture and the life of Storyline Church.
  • Create musical arrangements that strengthen congregational singing.
