Department: Ballpark Entertainment
Supervisor: Sr. Production Manager, Ballpark Entertainment
Classification: Part-time/Non-Exempt/Seasonal
Summary:
The Astros Ballpark Entertainment Department is seeking to fill several part-time positions for Manual Out of Town Scoreboard Operations for the 2026 season. Candidates who are qualified, collaborative, and passionate about putting the gameday show on at Daikin Park and assist in making the ballpark experience a memorable one for all fans are encouraged to apply.
This Role reports to: Sr. Production Manager, Producer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for keeping the Minute Maid Park manual scoreboard up to date with scores from around Major League Baseball
  • Support and work closely with Fan Experience Staff and BPE Control Room Staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of the game of baseball, moreover Major League Baseball
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with other departments and tenured production staff
  • Must be organized, flexible and able to work in a live-production and fast-paced environment
  • Professional image and demeanor
  • Ability to work non-standard hours including nights, weekends, holidays and commit to 25 or more events as needed

Work Environment:
Position will work in an office and stadium environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Must be able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions and within a stadium environment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. The vision requirement includes close vision and ability to adjust focus. Nature of position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time and seasonal position. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed.
