Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and multi-family properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of property management practices, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a proactive approach to property maintenance, tenant relations, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including tenant relations, leasing, and maintenance.

  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.

  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and property maintenance schedules.

  • Handle conflict management effectively, addressing tenant concerns and resolving disputes in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate records and files related to property management activities.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.

  • Collaborate with legal administrative teams to ensure adherence to all legal requirements.

  • Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and ensure high standards of upkeep.

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of property maintenance practices and procedures.

  • Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is preferred.

  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining positive tenant relationships.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.

  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations is essential.

  • Proficiency in using AppFolio property management software and Microsoft systems.
