Overview

This position is currently on HOLD.

Part-Time Meal Drop-Off Chef Montara, CA | 2 Days Per Week | $75+/Hour with Guaranteed Weekly Hours

A lovely repeat client of ours in Montara, California is seeking a talented part-time Personal Chef to provide 2 to 3 days of prepped, nutritious lunches and dinners. This is a wonderful, flexible engagement with warm principals whose main goal is simple: eating healthy, delicious food that supports their nutrition.

The Setup Chefs may prep in their own kitchen and finish meals at the client's home on drop days, or fully cook on site. The home features great kitchen equipment, and the client is truly flexible on approach. Meal drops will ideally land on Sundays to get ahead of the week, with a second drop on Tuesday or Wednesday. All meals should arrive complete, with simple instructions for heating or assembly.

The Food Each principal has their own nutritional approach, and menus may be tailored individually or kept cohesive across the household.

  • One principal follows a specific dietary program with an accompanying recipe book. She is allergic to corn and chicken, has a sensitivity to scallops, and keeps wheat light and gluten free. She loves great salads with protein and carbs at lunch, then heartier dinners of cooked vegetables and protein with almost no carbs at night.
  • The other principal eats higher protein plus vegetables, limiting specific nut allergens. He is more open and flexible overall.

Favorite cuisines include Thai and Mediterranean. Occasional dinner parties may also be requested, so be prepared to rock a plated, multi-course meal, too!

The Ideal Chef

  • Experienced in meal prep and nutrition-forward cooking, with the ability to work confidently around allergens and dietary programs
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of Personal Chef experience preferred; luxury hospitality or fine dining experience is a plus
  • Understands the logic behind food; a culinary degree is preferred but not a dealbreaker
  • Organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently
  • Local to Montara or the coastside, or able to commute reliably
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background check and provide strong employment references

Compensation & Timeline $75+ per hour with guaranteed weekly hours. The Client is ready to begin interviewing and trialing now.

Interview Process Resume review, interview, and paid trials for top candidates.
