Effective communication with your employer about expectations and schedules is crucial to maintaining a healthy work-life balance. These jobs are common in caregiving, nannying, or housekeeping roles, where the worker may be present for security or availability but is only required to actively work for a set number of hours each day or week. This arrangement can offer reduced living expenses and flexibility, but it also requires clear boundaries regarding work hours and personal time.
