Job description

Beta Up is hiring local, Tower Climbers for AT&T projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth and North Texas areas.

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH AT&T EQUIPMENT AND AT&T BUILDING STANDARDS.


The position offers Monday to Friday work, with weekends off. You'll be home every night for local jobs, although some projects may require out-of-town travel. Saturday work is optional.

Pay: $25–$30 per hour, with payday every Friday
Paid Training: $150 per day (3-day recertification, Monday–Friday, through a third party)
Per Diem for Travel: $100 per day for out-of-town work
Warehouse Location: Coppell, TX 75019 (paid drive time to and from job sites)

Requirements:

  • Must have basic tools ( ALL necessary PPE provided)
  • Minimum 2 year of AT&T experience required
  • Valid driver's license

Bonuses:

  • $500 sign-on bonus after a 90-day probation period
  • OSHA 30: $100 bonus after 90-day probation
  • TTT-1/TTT-2: $300/$500 bonus after 90-day probation
  • 2 weeks of paid time off (40 hours per week) after 1 year of employment

All candidates must be willing to demonstrate their knowledge through both theoretical and practical interviews.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Climbing and working on communications towers while maintaining safety standards. This includes the installation and maintenance of mounts, platforms, antennas, RRUs, TMAs, and other related equipment on towers, rooftops, and structures to expand and upgrade cellular networks.
  • Reviewing site plans and tower drawings to prepare for builds, assembling materials, kitting, labeling, and determining proper installation methods.
  • Assisting with tower rigging and conducting equipment testing such as sweeps, fiber optics, electrical, and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing.
  • Managing and restocking materials as needed.
  • Taking direction from the crew foreman to ensure safety and quality standards are met while adhering to project timelines.
  • Performing tower inspections, inventories, and audits.
  • Collecting, reviewing, and submitting closeout documentation per timelines.
  • Learning and adhering to safety requirements.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Assisting with vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Complying with DOT regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must live in the DFW area or surrounding areas.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the office.
  • Must be willing to participate in a working interview.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with AT&T equipment, preferably 2+ years in communications tower construction.
  • Ability to climb tall structures and work at heights (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Basic mechanical skills with hand tools and simple power tools.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • First Aid & CPR with Bloodborne Pathogens certification.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certified.
  • RF Awareness.
  • Certified in Aerial Lift.
  • Experience with Capstan.
  • Competent Rigger certification.
  • Certified Competent Tower Climber and Rescuer.
  • NWSA TTT-1 or TTT-2 certified.
  • Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check.
  • Must obtain all required certifications.
