Job description

Kitchen + Kocktails is looking for a Bar Manager with deep Chicagoland ties for our Wabash Avenue restaurant.

Responsibilities:

  • Hiring bar staff
  • Create onboard training packets for bartenders (in depth training manuals)
  • Conduct spot pour tests
  • Ad hoc training throughout the workday
  • Create bar opening and closing checklists and hold staff accountable daily
  • Create daily/weekly/monthly cleaning checklists and hold staff accountable
  • Bartender daily duties and end of shift checklists and hold staff accountable
  • Establish and teach Order of Service (How to entertain and upsell guests)
  • Enforce bartender policies (Time off, Rules, Uniforms)
  • Create new and fresh cocktail menus
  • Create drinks of the month or features
  • Manage inventory of liquor, beer, wine and bar supplies
  • Conduct weekly phone meetings with Inventory Company
  • Send Finance invoices for liquor, beer, and wine weekly
  • Schedule and facilitate weekly meeting with bartending staff
  • Create drink buttons in Point of Sale as needed with General Manager
  • Work weekly with social media manager or company on new content
  • Clean and organize storage areas to ensure speed and productivity for bartenders and barbacks
  • Execute all bar related events
