Program Manager (DoD / Government Programs)

At Applied Technology Solutions (ATS), our Program Managers lead the delivery of mission-critical programs that matter.

In this role, you will own programs end-to-enddriving performance across cost, schedule, and technical executionwhile building strong, trusted relationships with customers in DoD and government environments.

You wont just manage timelines, youll lead teams, solve complex problems, and deliver results that have real-world impact.

What Youll Do

  • Own full program execution across cost, schedule, and technical performance (CST)
  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance, etc.) to deliver high-impact solutions
  • Build and manage program plans, schedules, and budgets, including forecasting and resource planning
  • Serve as the primary customer interface, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Ensure alignment with contract scope, managing changes through formal change control processes
  • Proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities, driving mitigation and resolution
  • Deliver clear, actionable program reporting to leadership and customers
  • Ensure compliance with ATS processes, quality standards, and government requirements
  • Manage subcontractors and external partners when applicable

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of program or project management experience

  • Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar frameworks
  • Background in engineering, defense systems, or technical programs
  • Experience managing subcontractors or multi-partner programs
