Can you make $500,000 a year in cyber security?

Entry Level GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) roles typically do not pay $500,000 annually, as such high salaries are usually reserved for senior or specialized cybersecurity positions with extensive experience, advanced certifications, and leadership responsibilities. Entry-level positions generally offer lower compensation, but salaries can increase significantly with experience, certifications like CISSP, and expertise in areas such as threat analysis or security architecture.

Can I work in cybersecurity with no experience?

Entry level GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) roles typically require some foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and tools, but many employers consider candidates with no prior experience if they have relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ or ICS-specific training. Gaining practical skills through online courses, labs, and internships can improve your chances of qualifying for such positions. Entry-level roles often focus on learning on the job and developing skills in network security, threat detection, and industrial control systems.
