Job Description:
This position is for a Senior Field Engineering Specialist serving as the Mission System Maintenance Advisor, reporting directly to the L3Harris Technologies Site Manager assigned to the Host Country. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert working directly with the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) end user on troubleshooting and repair of ISR Mission Systems on the KA-350ER aircraft modified by L3Harris. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of mission-modified aircraft systems and the ability to advise customer airframe technicians on specific differences applicable to KA-350 missionized aircraft. The position involves debriefing aircrews on performance of L3Harris modified mission systems, devising troubleshooting plans to define and resolve complex problems, and providing On-the-Job (OJT) training for RSAF and L3Harris assigned personnel. This individual will be responsible for attending all required meetings/briefings and field training courses, properly documenting aircraft forms and all required documentation for spare parts removed and replaced, and troubleshooting and maintaining all ISR equipment delivered to the RSAF end user including Mission System Trainer and Transportable Ground Stations.
This position will be permanently located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, selected candidate will be expected to relocate immediately after hire.
Essential Functions:
  • Work with the RSAF end user on troubleshooting and repair of the mission systems on the KA-350 ISR mission system modified by L3Harris.
  • Debrief aircrews on performance of the L3Harris modified mission systems on the KA-350 aircraft, and devise troubleshooting plans to define and resolve problems.
  • Provide On-the-Job (OJT) training for RSAF and L3Harris assigned personnel.
  • Attend all required meetings, briefings, and field training courses to maintain technical proficiency and program awareness.
  • Properly document aircraft forms and all required documentation for spare parts removed and replaced in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain all ISR equipment delivered to RSAF end users including Mission System Trainer and Transportable Ground Stations.
  • Assist L3Harris team members and RSAF logistics with maintaining parts inventory, shipping, and receiving operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic terminology, symbols, codes, and diagrams/schematics/drawings, including various types of technical orders (T.O.'s) and engineering documents.
  • Proficient in the use of test equipment to isolate faults, troubleshoot maintenance system malfunctions, and support corrective maintenance actions.
  • Ability to assist RSAF and L3Harris personnel with processing, shipping, receiving, and inventory of ISR mission system parts.
  • Ability to work under extreme weather conditions and assist team members with various tasks when required.
  • Must be able to work 1st and 2nd shifts. Schedules are based on Aircraft flight schedules. (Sun-Thurs)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with six (6) years of experience with ISR mission systems and associated subsystems (sensors, communications, networking, mission management, or defensive systems).
  • Graduate Degree with four (4) years of experience with ISR mission systems and associated subsystems (sensors, communications, networking, mission management, or defensive systems).
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of experience with ISR mission systems and associated subsystems (sensors, communications, networking, mission management, or defensive systems).
  • Must have three (3) years flight line experience supporting ISR or mission modified aircraft.
  • Three (3) years of experience directly advising, mentoring, or leading technicians on FMS programs.

PreferredAdditional Skills:
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • U.S. ISR Aircraft Mission System Maintenance Experience.
  • Experience operating/maintaining tactical ISR aircraft in an operational environment.
  • Experience working overseas with foreign customers; experience in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
