Location: Onsite Fort Gordon, Ga

As a Cyber Strategic Engagement Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Metric5, you will provide support to a major U.S. Army command to deliver information technology engineering and design services for a globally connected Army that offers Soldiers, Commanders and supporting organizations the ability to access, process and act upon information anytime.

Mission:

The Cyber Strategic Engagement SME serves as senior cyber advisor and program strategist within the Defensive Cyber Warfare (DCW) and Program Management Office (PMO). This is in support of the PMO Assistant Program Manager to bridge acquisition policy, operational requirements, and technical execution to deliver enterprise cyber capabilities in direct support of Army Cyber Command and US Cyber Command mission objectives. The incumbent will actively participate in the Cyber Analytics (CA) team's planning and decision-making processes to steer development and operational activities. The incumbent ensures that every program feature, analytical model, and performance metric provides direct, measurable support to ARCYBER's defensive cyber mission.

  • Experience in Defensive Cyber Operations, Cyber Analytics, and DoD Cyber Mission Force (CMF) support programs
  • Familiarity with ARCYBER, USCYBERCOM, NSA, DISA organizational structures and mission set.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Support: Facilitate cross-functional requirements reconciliation between warfighters, engineers, and contracting offers to maintain program alignment with mission priorities.
  • Emerging Technology & Organizational Integration: Champion adoption of Zero Trust Architecture principles, DevSecOps frameworks, and agile acquisition practices.
  • Monitor emerging cyber technology trends and advise leadership on programmatic implications for capability gaps and modernization priorities.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop contingency plans and implement risk response strategies.
  • Communication & Reporting: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including Army representatives, internal management, and project team members. Provide regular project status reports and briefings. Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Serves as the team's authoritative advisor on the strategic and operational impact of the CA platform. This expert will be responsible for creating a continuous feedback loop that validates the program's effectiveness by Validating Vendor-Delivered Features: Engaging directly with end-users to confirm that new capabilities delivered by the vendor meet operational needs and provide tangible mission value.
  • Experience with scheduling and conducting briefings to Senior Leadership.
  • Experience with building briefings and charts utilizing the Microsoft Suite of programs, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Assist with estimating projects concerned with research, design and development of new or modification and improvement of existing equipment's and systems applicable to PM mission.
  • Experience with estimation of specific system requirements and design modifications or deviations in hardware or software subsystems to ensure fulfillment of user related needs and will adequately resist established and projected threat environments.
  • Experience developing POM submissions, acquisition strategies, and milestone documentation.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills; demonstrated ability to brief Senior Leadership.

Desired Skills:

  • Project Management Expertise: Proven ability to manage complex projects within DoD environments.
  • Contract Management: Strong understanding of government contracting principles and regulations.
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, or software intensive acquisition programs
  • PMP Certification or equivalent
  • Experience with specific Army systems or program

Years of Experience: 12+ years of experience or more

Education: Bachelors degree or higher degree and/or equivalent Experience

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required Must hold a current and active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Salary: $145,000 - $165,000
