Customs Classification Specialist / Especialista en Clasificación Arancelaria
  • Shift M-F 9:00-5:30 (Occasional Saturdays and OT availability

We are looking for an experienced Customs Classification Specialist to join our growing international trade and customs compliance team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate tariff classification, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted cross-border operations.
What You'll Do
  • Analyze technical documentation, catalogs, specifications, and commercial documents to determine proper tariff classification.
  • Apply TIGIE and General Rules of Interpretation.
  • Identify applicable NOM and non-tariff regulations.
  • Perform customs audits (glosa) and identify classification discrepancies.
  • Recommend corrective actions and maintain internal classification databases.
  • Support procurement, logistics, and operations teams with customs-related guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican customs regulations and international trade requirements.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Customs, Logistics, or related field
? Minimum 3+ years of customs brokerage or trade compliance experience
? Strong knowledge of TIGIE, customs regulations, and NOM
? Experience with customs auditing (glosa) and tariff classification
? Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
? Bilingual English/Spanish
