Registered Dental Hygienist

Location: Guilford, CT

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule:

Monday: 7:30am โ€“ 4:30pm

Tuesday: 7:30am โ€“ 6:30pm

Wednesday: 7:30am โ€“ 4:30pm

Thursday: 7:30am โ€“ 6:30pm

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $43โ€“$50/hour
  • Annualized Compensation: Approximately $89,440 โ€“ $104,000/year (based on full-time schedule)
Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join a modern, well-established practice committed to delivering high-quality, concierge-level care. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative clinical environment with one-hour recall appointments, allowing you to provide thorough, comprehensive care while building strong relationships with your patients.

You will be supported by a highly engaged clinical team and have access to ongoing professional development, including participation in a Hygiene Executive Committee that helps guide clinical excellence and growth.

Located in Guilford, CT, this coastal New England community offers a charming blend of shoreline living, historic character, and easy access to both New Haven and the greater Connecticut shorelineโ€”making it an ideal place to live and work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on education and trust-building
  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapies in alignment with doctor treatment plans
  • Identify signs of periodontal disease, oral pathology, and overall oral health concerns
  • Take and interpret radiographs and intraoral images
  • Accurately document patient medical histories, conditions, and treatment notes
  • Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Respond appropriately to any medical or dental emergencies during treatment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and ongoing preventative care
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Connecticut
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong clinical knowledge of hygiene procedures, patient screening, and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset
  • Periodontal experience preferred
  • Local anesthesia certification preferred
