Personal Care Aide (PCA/HHA) โ€“ In-Home Senior Care

Location: Zebulon, NC and nearby communities
Pay: $14โ€“$17 per hour
Employment Type: Part-time and PRN, with opportunities for additional hours as client needs grow

Preferred Care at Home of Wake Forest, Zebulon, and Henderson is building its local caregiver team to support seniors in Zebulon, Knightdale, Wendell, and nearby eastern Wake County communities. Our caregivers provide personalized, one-on-one support that helps older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

This is an assignment-based home care position. Schedules and weekly hours vary based on client needs, caregiver availability, proximity, experience, and compatibility. As our client base grows, additional assignments and hours may become available.

  • Providing companionship and emotional support

  • Following the clientโ€™s established plan of care

Qualifications
  • Previous professional or personal caregiving experience preferred

  • PCA, HHA, home care, assisted living, memory care, or senior care experience is a plus

  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care

  • Reliable transportation to clientsโ€™ homes

  • Professional and dependable work habits

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to complete required background screening

  • PCA or HHA training is preferred

  • Dementia care experience is a plus

  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus

  • Valid driverโ€™s license, automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required for assignments involving client transportation

  • Listed on the NC DHHS/DHSR Health Care Personnel Registry
Available Schedules

Assignments may include:

  • Daytime

  • Evening

  • Overnight

  • Weekend

  • Part-time

  • PRN

Base pay is $14โ€“$17 per hour. Certain assignments may include additional differential pay based on shift requirements, specialized experience, training, or client needs. Any applicable differential will be disclosed before accepting the assignment.
