Job description

Summary of Position
The Summit Kids Director of the West Cary Campus is responsible for fulfilling the vision of Summit Kids and the Summit Church by leading the Summit Kids Ministry at the campus level, building relationships with families, and helping provide resources for the families of the campus.
The campus staff will work as a team to do whatever it takes for the well-being of the campus. There are additional responsibilities outside of Kids Ministry in conjunction with the campus team.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Leadership skills
  • Volunteer recruiting, training, and support
  • Able to lead large volunteer teams
  • Problem solving ability
  • Pace setter in areas of character, evangelism, and family discipleship
  • Kids Ministry experience preferred
  • A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities
  • Weekend Summit Kids Experience: The overall leadership, execution, and implementation of the weekend in Kids Ministry at the campus
    • Organizing and communicating to volunteers so that there are the proper number of trained and qualified leaders in each classroom
    • Overseeing the implementation of the curriculum provided by Summit Kids ministry
    • Responsible for fulfilling the mission and vision of Summit Kids
  • Leading Volunteer Leaders
    • Recruiting new volunteers on a consistent basis
    • Training the volunteers on a consistent basis for their task so they are well equipped
    • Leading the volunteers in love and appreciation so burnout is avoided
    • Build a group of committed Team Leaders
    • Monitor the spiritual health of volunteer leaders
    • Teach and model Gospel-centered teaching for volunteers
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Help plan and execute campus events
    • Collaborate with our Apex Campus to facilitate AWANA gatherings
    • Attend weekly campus staff meetings and monthly All-Staff meetings
    • Attend bi-weekly Summit Kids staff meetings
    • Help follow up with First Time Guests as given out by the Campus Pastor
    • Assist in the overall health of the campus
    • Serve at large events in Summit Kids
    • Responsible for the upkeep of the Summit Kids space at your campus
    • Any and all other tasks necessary to accomplish the vision and mission of the Summit Church as assigned.

Churchwide Events
The hours for this position are expected to be 40 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.
Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
