Job Description

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform maintenance tasks including repairs to appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, gates, pools, and amenity areas, along with preparing vacant units for movein.
  • Respond to emergencies by handling afterhours, weekend, and holiday maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain facilities by keeping common areas, grounds, and amenity spaces clean, orderly, and fully operational.
  • Provide resident service through clear communication, timely issue resolution, and professional appearance and conduct.
  • Manage inventory and records by organizing the maintenance shop, tracking supplies, and updating service logs and databases.
  • Support team operations by assisting the Maintenance Manager, coordinating with contractors, and upholding company policies and service standards.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bring 1-3 years of maintenance experience, ideally in apartment communities, with strong troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities.
  • Hold or obtain EPA refrigeration certification (Type II or Universal) within 90 days of hire, and maintain a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Use hand tools and equipment safely while performing tasks that require bending, kneeling, climbing ladders up to 40 ft, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Move and transport heavy equipment such as appliances, laundry machines, and building materials ranging from 75 to 300+ lbs using hand trucks or other aids.
  • Perform physically demanding repairs on structures, special equipment, and amenity systems that may require lifting, maneuvering, or extended physical exertion.
  • Complete inunit upgrades and resident services such as installing lighting or ceiling fans, often requiring ladder work and overhead lifting.
