Litigation Legal Assistant l Evanston, Illinois l In-Office l Starting Salary at $60,000


Join a respected plaintiff law firm dedicated to advocating for individuals and families affected by nursing home abuse, neglect, and personal injury. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to compassion, excellence, and delivering exceptional legal representation that makes a meaningful difference in our clients' lives.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

Case Management:

  • Track deadlines, court dates, and ensure all case files are current and accurately maintained.
  • Request and track medical records requests.

Discovery Process:

  • Assist in coordinating discovery requests and responses, including interrogatories, document requests, and depositions.
  • Organize and manage discovery documents, including medical records, bills, and accident reports.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and documents relevant to their case.

Client Communication:

  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, providing updates and answering questions regarding their case status.


WHO YOU ARE

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, specifically in plaintiff’s personal injury, nursing home and/or medical malpractice law.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, case management software, and e-filing systems.
  • Strong understanding of court rules and procedures.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


BENEFITS:

  • Starting salary at $60,000, could be higher depending on experience
  • Health Insurance: Eligible after 3 months of employment
